K2 Pro launches on Monday with AI cameras, heated chamber, and 16-Color Printing

Creality has officially announced the release of its latest flagship 3D printer, the K2 Pro. Priced at just $1,200 and launching on August 25, the machine boasts a blend of AI features, multicolor capabilities, and an actively heated chamber. Looks like the much-hyped Creality invention aims to position itself as the future of consumer 3D printing.

At its core, the K2 Pro is built on CoreXY kinematics, offering both speed and precision. Its main feature is the Creality Filament System (CFS), which allows up to four units to be combined, which means that the printer can handle as many as 16 spools of filament for multicolor or multi-material projects. The 300 × 300 × 300 mm build volume enables producing full-size prints like helmets, while the 60 °C heated chamber making the use of high-performance materials like ABS or PPA-CF entirely possible.

AI is an essential part of the K2 Pro’s design. Two built-in cameras monitor every print: one inside the chamber for remote viewing and time-lapses, and another at the nozzle for fine monitoring and error detection. These cameras also assist with flow rate adjustment and early failure alerts. Meanwhile, an RFID reader automatically identifies compatible Creality-branded filaments, streamlining setup.

Additionally, the printer’s highlights include smart auto-leveling, targeting only the necessary areas of the build plate, and support for Creality Cloud, with a premium subscription for one year, bundled for early buyers. Orders between August 24 and September 24 also come with extra perks, including a two-year warranty, exclusive merchandise, and – a bit of fun! – a Creality T-shirt, while supplies last.
Creality will demo the K2 Pro during a special launch livestream, giving their loyal 3D printing community its first in-depth look at what could be the company’s most innovative printer to date.
