3D printed titanium details transform Bentley’s EXP 15 concept

Bentley Motors has revealed the EXP 15, a novel design vision that blends its rich Grand Tourer heritage with cutting-edge innovation. Presented at the opening of the brand’s new design studio in Crewe, the concept is not yet destined for production but offers some insights into Bentley’s first full-electric model arriving in 2026.

Inspired by the iconic 1930 Bentley Speed Six “Blue Train,” EXP 15 reinvents classic proportions with a modern twist. A long, ‘endless’ bonnet, upright grille, and sculpted rear haunches are complemented by next-gen lighting and active aerodynamics. “The beauty of a concept car is not just to position our new design language, but to test where the market’s going,” Robin Page, Bentley’s Director of Design, said in a press release.

The exterior’s forms channel five new design principles by Bentley, including the ‘Iconic Grille’ and ‘Prestigious Shield’, a sleek rear surface now decorated with a reimagined winged emblem. Inside, a three-seat configuration reflects personalization and luxury, featuring a passenger seat and integrated storage for pets or luggage.

The cabin’s materials also blend tradition and innovation. Fox Brothers and Gainsborough, Historic British textile suppliers, have contributed 100% wool and fine jacquard silk fabrics. Futuristic technical finishes like lightweight 3D-printed titanium reduce waste and enhance overall form. “When you cut a diamond pattern out of the veneer and put jacquard silk or a hybrid mesh against it and light it up, you can create what we’re calling an active 3D quilt,” said Andrea Jensen, Head of Colour, Materials, Finish and Bespoke.

EXP 15’s interior also integrates immersive digital features, such as a full-width dashboard that transitions between screen and veneer, and a ‘Mechanical Marvel’ analog-digital centerpiece. The EXP 15 positions Bentley at the intersection of luxury, sustainability, and performance with its all-electric, all-wheel drive platform, ready for an era of grand touring.
