A leap forward for industrial manufacturing in Mexico has just happened with the arrival of Meltio‘s next-gen wire-laser metal 3D printing solutions. This development is made possible through a strategic alliance between Sitres Latam, Alar, and Tecnológico de Monterrey, aiming to redefine how metal parts are created and repaired across various industries, including automotive, aerospace, energy, and mining.
Meltio’s technology offers a cost-effective and efficient way to create functional metal parts from a range of materials, such as stainless steel, titanium, and Inconel. Unlike powder-based methods, it relies on welding wire, providing a greener and safer alternative with reduced waste. Sitres Latam, the official Meltio distributor in Mexico, brings over a decade of experience in additive manufacturing to facilitate the adoption of these solutions.

Alar, a pioneering Mexican company, has become the first in the country to integrate the Meltio M600 industrial 3D printer, recognized as the ‘Enterprise 3D Printer of the Year (Metals)’ in the recent 3DPI Awards. This robust machine offers 24/7 autonomous production of high-quality metal parts.
Tecnológico de Monterrey is also actively involved, incorporating the Meltio M450 printer to enhance its advanced manufacturing training. The goal of the company is to impact the “productive ecosystem” by enabling companies to collaborate on prototyping, application development, and training.
Sebastian Saidman, CEO of Sitres Latam, expressed his excitement about the synergy between the participants of the project. “With M600 equipment already operational at Alar and TEC validating the capabilities of the M450, confirms to us that we are on the right path to transform the way metal parts are designed, manufactured and repaired in our country,” he said in a press release.

Gabriel Ortiz, Meltio’s sales manager for Latin America and North America, sees this agreement as a key step in the company’s growth in Mexico, offering industries a reliable and autonomous solution for metal part manufacturing. The Meltio M600 was recently showcased at the International Automotive Industry Supply Summit 2025 in Querétaro, demonstrating its amazing potential for the automotive sector. We’re curious to see how this collaboration will foster both innovation and efficiency in Mexico’s industrial landscape.
