Conflux Technology enters the hypercar arena with Pagani Utopia Partnership

Conflux Technology has started its hypercar era, partnering with Italian automotive icon Pagani to enhance the performance of the Pagani Utopia, the company’s latest masterpiece. The six-year production agreement will see Conflux’s advanced cartridge heat exchangers integrated into the vehicle’s transmission system, exemplifying the growing role of additive manufacturing (AM) in extreme automotive engineering.

The Utopia is powered by a bespoke Pagani V12, a 6-liter twin-turbo engine developed by Mercedes-AMG, paired with a custom Xtrac seven-speed gearbox available in both automated and manual options. Meeting stringent emissions regulations while delivering raw performance, the hypercar demanded an equally powerful thermal management solution.

Conflux delivered a customized exchanger that accelerated heat rejection by an impressive 30%, ensuring reliability under the most punishing driving conditions.

Testing for the system included extensive track and road trials, as well as thermal shock testing.  Francesco Perini, head of the technical department at Pagani, added, “Conflux’s cartridge heat exchangers are a testament to precision and innovation, playing a vital role in ensuring that the Utopia can be enjoyed for a romantic drive on the French Riviera as well as on the most demanding tracks.

Backed by an AUD 11 million Series B round, Conflux is scaling its Conflux Production Systems (CPS) to meet growing global demand across aerospace, motorsports, defense, and more, while securing its place as a leading innovator in high-performance thermal systems.
